SYD is excited to announce our second full-time position: Program & Operations Coordinator. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who loves working with youth, believes in the power of baseball as a tool for mentorship and character development, and wants to serve under-resourced communities with purpose and excellence. From coaching and relationship-building to real-world logistics and program leadership, this role is designed to grow as SYD grows. Building upon the success at Howard Baseball, the Southside Youth Development (SYD) organization was born out of a desire to not only deepen the current impact at The Howard School, but to replicate it in nearby communities. We believe in the value and transformative power of engaging youth and providing mentorship and character development opportunities through sports. Through SYD’s programs and initiatives, we seek to empower and encourage these young men and women to become the best students, friends, future parents, and community members that they can be, impacting future generations.
